This March we’ll be working together to raise funds towards the goal of providing much needed support that will further our mission both locally and throughout the globe. From Florida to Nigeria – Miami all the way across Central Asia. So let’s join forces this season in support of those who are tirelessly serving our brothers and sisters in Haiti, Mexico, Ukraine and beyond.
Our Missionaries
Darshak Toma
Location – Nigeria
For the past 8 years, we have engaged in church planting activities in Nigeria, resulting in the establishment of 10 churches. Our objective this year is to plant 2 additional churches and advance the growth of 222Disciple in Nigeria. As part of our strategy, we will be providing training to local pastors and leaders to equip them for future generations.
Joshua Jung
Location – Orlando, Florida
Years ago, Joshua established the Grace Korean Church in Orlando, which he is now reorganizing as a Sunlight Campus. Grace Korean Church caters exclusively to a Korean-speaking congregation and is enthusiastic about translating 222Disciple into Korean. This will allow them to better equip disciples to make disciples.
Andy Zeisemer
Location – Ukraine
Andy serves as the president of A Jesus Mission, an organization that is dedicated to spreading the good news of Jesus. Currently, the organization is actively involved in providing relief aid and sharing the gospel with refugees who are fleeing Ukraine in these difficult times. By collaborating with local churches on the Romanian border, AJM has been able to provide essential necessities and care to the refugees.
Additionally, they have even traveled to Ukraine to assist in the evacuation process. Presently, AJM has over 100 missionaries working tirelessly in Ukraine to support these efforts.
Tyler and Alyssia
Location – Central Asia
Tyler and Alyssia are committed to sharing the gospel in an area of Central Asia. Their particular area is predominantly Muslim, and for their safety, they cannot share many details about the specific work they are doing.
Their goals for this year are to learn the language and culture of their area, and then start a small education business that serves the community while spreading the gospel.
Phil and Eunice Raiford
Location – Oaxaca City, Mexico
Phil and Eunice Raiford are church planters among the Mixe people in Oaxaca, Mexico.
Phil came to Mexico in 2005 where he underwent a three year apprenticeship in missions. He has worked with several indigenous groups helping disciple and plant churches.
Eunice is from Oaxaca and went to medical school in the capital. Early in her youth, she always wanted to be a doctor, helping people with limited resources.
They currently live in the village, San Juan Juquila Mixes with their son Ian. There they work among the people, Phil building relationships and discipling men, working alongside them in construction and farming. Eunice is the beloved doctor who treats patients from the medical clinic and pharmacy the Raiford’s founded (the first private clinic in the area). Eunice treats all types of patients from several different villages.
Together they share the gospel by living with the people as they live, showing that Christ’s love is stronger, more forgiving and gracious than the oppressive spirits that rule their lives. The goal of the work in Juquila is self sustaining, reproducible indigenous churches.
Steve and Sandra Brauning
Location – Dominican Republic
Steve and Sandra serve with a ministry team serving alongside our ministry partners: the Christian Reformed Church in the Dominican Republic (CRCDR), a growing national denomination of over 200 congregations all over the country, and Sinergia Leadership Foundation, which includes 16 Christian Reformed schools (COCREF) which provide quality, affordable Christian education to about 3,500 students in marginal communities.
With the CRCDR, we serve in leadership and ministry development, discipleship, evangelism, construction, community transformation, justice, and other ministries. Sinergia provides a platform for broader impact in the evangelical community as well as outreach through the related ministries with which we network. With COCREF, Steve participates with the board of directors and the administration. Between the church, schools, and other related ministries, Resonate Global Mission’s work impacts an estimated 25,000 people in the DR.
Another ministry impact area is our service and learning program which provides opportunities for North Americans to plug into ministry with our partners. Teams serve with youth outreach or construction, and individual volunteers serve in children and youth ministry, Christian education, and community outreach. Volunteers can serve for a few weeks up to a year to gain cross-cultural and ministry experience, learn and grow in faith, and contribute to these vibrant ministries’ impact.
